Orange and blue
Lukas Artist Watercolors
Click on blue above. deal of the day in watercolor whole and half pans!
The orange itself is GREAT- the background needs a little more intensity in the shadow and the line between the wall and the shelf needs some shadowy thingys here and there along the line and a shadow on the shelf behind the orange.

Laur's first painting class with Michelle
one she painted the background almost like a night sky. She forgot to put a shadow on the wall for this apple, although she has one for the bowl. It makes the Bowl seem very realistic and the apple pasted on.Monday, October 29, 2007
I lied, here's my egg
beginings of my latest effort.. no egg.. have to rest my arm
I have lowered the mountain a little and toned down the white clouds. This is the begining of the tulip fields. I'll add more layers of color. I can see the mountain might need to come down a little more all across. What do you think Suz? It felt so good to paint today. I am feeling so much better than expected. Chicken soup with lemon in it, aspirin, Chinese herbs, and Ginger tea. Mark is still under the weather. Not even golfing tomorrow. His store bought drugs are not helping him.
part of the forfield, bring the mountain top and mountain up an inch or so- that the mt top hits the upper 3/5 line of the painting, and so that you can Sunday, October 28, 2007

Laura's 4th- House and lavender field in Europe
Below is Julian Merrow-Smith's painting of these Cypress trees for a comparison to the artist painting you are using. Laur, yours look very similar, but without the brighter contrast he has.

Laura's 2nd acrylic- Raps field with poppies in summer
Laur this is really great and great to behold now that I lightened it up with office Picture Manager. I bet Deb will want it for Christmas!! Yellow....just take some flowers out of the right hand corner and lighten the sky and lower the left side of the mountain just a little while you are at it.
Laur by good luck I just found the original Julian Marrow-Smith so am adding to blog for you- I like your joyful flowers better than his, although his are very artfully done. Also I like your field better.
